Music Via Mia Mondays

My foundation in entertainment began in my native Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia.

My father, a radio and TV host, journalist, screenwriter and actor, had a huge influence on my growth. After moving to Canada, where I spent almost half of my life, I continued in these footsteps; I was part of several music groups (Vancouver and Toronto), founded an ABBA tribute band, and also produced and hosted radio and TV programs.

In 2020 I moved to Spain and three years later I joined the fabulous BIG RADIO family. My voice, often described as sultry, brings what I would call “Traveling through the past” in my regular Monday shows.

Although I have a long history in show business and once wrote a bestselling book, I have always been very attracted to radio. The radio industry excites me and I have a strong desire to extrapolate my background. Reaching out and communicating with my listeners is the main key. Sharing what I have learned can give me something new from my audience in return.

I also love investigating areas that have nothing to do with entertainment, but are still close to me; e.g. Learning languages is my passion (I’m working on my fifth), I’m also a Reiki practitioner and a firm believer in the power of our vital energy.

And if you think I stand out from the crowd, that’s exactly it. My motto: “If I can’t fit in, I create my own world” 😊
